The 32nd annual GRACE Hunger Walk, sponsored by the Grand Rapids  Area Center for Ecumenism, was held on Saturday, May 2, 2009.  It was a picture perfect day – sunshine and cool enough for the walkers and not too cool for the volunteers.  Nearly 900 walkers and 100 volunteers participated in the Hunger Walk.

Where do the hunger funds go?
17 local agencies planned the Walk this year by helping with tasks, recruiting congregations and contacting corporate sponsors.  Additionally, 4 international agencies will be providing relief and development work in Guatemala, Uganda, Niger, Sudan, Nicaragua and the Democratic Republic of Congo.  See above links for details of where the monies go. Distribution of local and international funds will be by June 30th.
