Thank you to everyone who participated in the 31st Annual GRACE Hunger Walk on Saturday, May 3! It was a perfect weather day (we are so grateful that Friday's rain left us and didn't return until later Saturday afternoon)!
Over 1,000 walkers and volunteers participated! $ 83,000 was turned in the morning of the Walk! Through a combination of corporate sponsorships and money collected before and after the Walk, we hope to reach $150,000!
Monies can be turned in to any Chase branch (please label with your congregation/group) or sent to GRACE at 183 Lakeside Dr. NE ; Grand Rapids, MI 49503.
Checks will be be distributed on June 3, 2008 (Hunger Awareness Day). The Hunger Awareness Day event will take place on Tuesday, June 3 from Noon – 1:30 pm at Kid’s Food Basket, 1203 Butterworth SW in Grand Rapids. This event will celebrate the steps taken to meet the rising hunger needs in our community.
