Why GRACE?

A record number of people suffering from hunger both locally and globally - more than 1 billion world wide.

A 320% increase of people at risk of homelessness or in a homeless situation in the Grand Rapids community during the past year.

As of 2008, a state ranked third in the nation for reported hate crimes and considered one the most segregated in the country.

A community quickly changing in religious landscape.

A core of faithful people who care about the well-being of their community and their world.

That's why.

GRACE is a religious, non-profit organization committed to raising money for hunger, housing the homeless, and changing the way Grand Rapids looks at race.

GRACE invites and recruits the participation of people from throughout the community, according to their own interest, conscience or tradition.
